Players alternate turns. On your turn, tap any unsolved word on the grid or from the clue list, then type your answer and hit Submit. You have 60 seconds per turn.

A correct answer scores 1 point. If your answer also completes other crossing words, you score 1 point per word completed. If your opponent misses, you enter the Crucible — your next correct answer scores at a ×2 multiplier. Keep answering correctly while your opponent keeps missing and the multiplier climbs: ×3, ×4, and beyond. You leave the Crucible when your opponent answers correctly, or if you miss while in it. The multiplier resets when you exit.
